ANNOUNCEMENTS
Leadership Affirmations 2010-2011
As a student-initiated ministry, AACF looks to student leaders to discern and develop the fellowship’s vision and its ministries in order to reach others with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. UCLA’s AACF is currently in the process of identifying potential leaders for next year. Your input in discerning who the Lord has chosen to lead AACF in the next academic year is essential to this process.
Thus, we ask that you would download the leadership affirmation form below, and give it to a core member by the end of 4th week.

Corporate Prayer Meetings
Date: Fridays
Time: 8am
Location: triangle on top of the Hilltop Store (dorms)
God has been placing on my heart a need for the body of AACF to encounter and know God in a way that surpasses all knowledge, and to be in prayer for our campus, our generation, and purity in our generation. This need comes from a continuous conviction that I feel the reason many Christians are lukewarm about the faith is because they are weighed down by a religious spirit and a spirit of unbelief, things I have struggled with. The prayer format will be prayer with praise/worship and with the Word. As Ephesians 5:16 says to make the most of your time, because the days are evil, Matthew 24 :12 says that “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.” I believe prayer, praise, and the Word are our spiritual weapons and the key to sustaining and growing our desire for God. Because in the presence of God is the fullness of joy. And in this joy we naturally desire to seek God’s face and His Kingdom–in our lives, and then for our campus and our generation. So yea, I encourage you guys to come out if you can. It’ll be a good. Also, if anyone is interested or feels led to lead worship during any of the weeks, please come talk to me! Otherwise….we will go a Capella!

Apologetics Seminar
Date: Saturday Feb. 27
Location: Wintersburg Presbyterian Church (Santa Ana)
Cost: $10
Speaker: J.P. Moreland
This apologetics seminar consists of one full day with three sessions and subsequent Q & A’s. The speaker is J.P. Moreland, a professor of apologetics at Talbot Seminary. He has published many books — you can get more details about the speaker, topics, and registration on the website (that will be live soon).
Apologetics is an important thing for Christians to know. It is important that we can clearly explain our faith, not just to non-believers, but to ourselves. Blind faith isn’t real faith at all. Hopefully this seminar will be enlightening to everybody, so start thinking about coming, and invite your friends too!
Registration forms available now on our WEBSITE.
